On Friday we left Istanbul and flew to our next destination, Izmir. It's a big city in the Aegean sea coast where we spent a night with our new friend Alp, who kindly host us and even cooked dinner for us!
The next morning we got the train very early and headed to Selcuk, where we visit the ruins of Ephesus, an ancient Greek and Roman city with a huge amphitheatre and an the impressive Celsus library.
After the ruins, we got a minibus to Kusadasi, a small port village close to the resort where we are staying now, called CLC Kusadasi Golf Resort.
Yesterday we went to Pamukkale from the resort. It was a really long journey. First we took the free shuttle bus from the resort to the beach. There we took a local minibus for 4 liras each to Soke, a village 15 minutes far from the beach. Then we took another local bus to Denizli for 32 liras each. It was a 3 hours bus trip but it was fine because in this bus we had a screen in front of us to watch few movies during the trip. Also they provide us with a drink and a sandwich all included in the ticket fare.
When we were in this bus watching Finding Dory, the driver assistant came to Esteve and said to him that he has a phone call and he passed him his phone. Then someone speaking turkish was trying to explain him something by the phone. We didn't understood what happened until another passenger help us with the translation. The man in the phone was trying to tell Esteve that he lost his wallet in the minibus and that they will keep it in the bus agency in Soke for us. Then Esteve realised that his wallet was not in his pocket, LOL.
After the long journey to Denizli, we took another local minibus to Pamukkale where finally we went in at 2pm! The place was really nice, we could walk trough the white calcium formations called travertines and even had a bath in them. We also had lunch there.
Then at 5pm we went back to our resort. On our way back our bus was stopped in a police control and they checked our passports and all the ID's of the passengers in the bus. Then we went to get Esteve's wallet that, for our surprise it still had all the money inside (130 liras) and we took a taxi to the resort. It was a long day and like always with a happy ending :)
